Erectile dysfunction medicines took in Glengormley

Large quantities of unlicensed medicines have been taken by Department of Health officials throughout a search of a house in Glengormley.

A guy was spoken with by department officers about unlawfully importing and subsequently supplying unlicensed impotence medications via the web.

The 47 was also questioned about other medication offenses.

He will now be the topic of a report to the Public Prosecution Service.

The search was performed by the department's Medicines Regulatory Group.

Its senior enforcement office, Peter Moore, stated: "It is essential that we get the message throughout that unlicensed medications can be hazardous.

"These kinds of items being offered, normally online, have actually gone through no quality control and there can be no assurance about their safety.

"You just do not know what you are taking or the conditions these products were made in. More notably, you do not understand the result drugs like this may have on your health."
